Yearly ten thousand e-rickshaws to be distributed for women empowerment: Maha minister

Kolhapur, Aug 8 (UNI) The Maharashtra government has decided to distribute 10 thousand e-rickshaws among women this year as part of their empowerment, a minister said today.
The Pink E-Rickshaw will run on charging and has a facility to take a picture of the person sitting in the rickshaw along with a GPS system for the safety of women, Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tarkare said.
Out of the 700 applications received for this, 400 women beneficiaries have qualified for Pink Rickshaws in Kolhapur city this year.
