Xiaomi launches new smartphones

Chennai, Sep 6 (UNI) Xiaomi, India’s number one smartphone brand, on Thursday

launched the incredibly accessible Redmi 6, Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro in India.

Redmi 6 Pro features an AI dual camera and two-day battery life, while Redmi 6

and Redmi 6A feature the Helio P22 and Helio A22 chipsets respectively, both of

which bring the 12nm process to a new segment.

Redmi 6A was the successor to Redmi 5A, ranked as the number one selling smartphone

continuously for seven months, with more than three million units shipped in Q2 2018,

as per IDC.

Redmi 5A was also the bestselling Android phone globally in March 2018 according to

Counterpoint Research.

Talking to reporters here, Raghu Reddy, Head - category and online sales, Xiaomi

India said “at Xiaomi, we always thrive to push our boundaries and make higher level

innovation accessible to all our users at honest pricing.'

'We are proud to be bringing Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro to the market which

establishes our true philosophy. With the only smartphones in its segment with 12nm

architecture, we hope Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 will be worthy successors in the market

with their performance', he said.

Redmi 6 Pro with AI dual camera and an astounding two-day battery was also another

proof point of Xiaomi’s focus on providing best specs, highest quality at an honest

pricing, he said.

New Delhi, Apr 17 (UNI) Industry body PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry has identified 10 key enablers including ease of doing business, reducing cost of doing business such as cost of capital, power, logistics, land among others, that would lead the Indian economy to “Viksit Bharat by 2047”
