WWT20: Australia beat Lanka by 9 wkts

New Delhi, Mar 24 (UNI) Riding on some good bating performance, defending champions Australia outplayed Sri Lanka by nine wickets in ICC Women's World T20 group match at the iconic Feroz Shah Kotla stadium here today.
Chasing 124, Skipper Meg Lanning (not out) and Elyse Villani (52 not out) struck unbeaten half-centuries to chase down the target with 14 balls to spare.
Lanning and Villani forged a 98 runs partnership for the second wicket, after opener Alyssa Healy (12) was out in the fifth over.
