WW2 sea mine found off Russia's Black Sea coast

Moscow, June 28 (UNI/Sputnik) An explosive object from the times of Second World War has been found in water area of ​​​​the docks of Caspian Pipeline Consortium’s (CPC) marine terminal, which will be destroyed on the spot, the administration of the southern Russian city of Novorossiysk said on Tuesday.
"On June 27, an explosive object was identified in the safety zone of a remote mooring device... of CPC marine terminal... Transportation of the object is inexpedient, it is planned to destroy it at the place of discovery from 06:00 to 17:00 on June 29 and 30, 2022," a statement said here.
The object found was a deep-sea mine defender, the statement noted, adding that on June 27, a state of emergency was introduced in the city, which will be in effect until the end of mine clearance.
