World Peace Music Festival 2017 from Feb 8

Panaji, Jan 30 (UNI) Directorate of Art and Culture of Goa government will be organising 'Sur Jahan' (World Peace Music Festival 2017) at Kala Academy from February 8 to 10.
According to a press release here today, the festival is being organised for the third time in Goa.
'Sur Jahan', earlier known as 'Sufi Sutra, is a world peace music festival celebrating plurality.
The festival aims at creating a platform for cultural exchange and dialogue, awareness and understanding of culture and its diversity.
Since its inception in 2011, Sufi Sutra had participation of artistes from 21 countries and 12 Indian states.
The festival has created opportunities of collaboration among the groups and artistes, leading to an integration of cultures.
The internatonal teams from Denmark, Czech Republic, Sweden, Russia and three national teams would participate in the festival which enters its seventh edition this year.
It would include concert and workshop wherein each group would introduce their own music and interact with other musicians, media and audience, the release said, adding the festival would be non-commerical, non-ticketed with a motto of music for all and music for peace.
