World Malaria Day observed in Goa

Panaji, Apr 25 (UNI) Directorate of Health Services in association with National Vector Borne Disease Control Program (NVBDCP) observed World Malaria Day at the Seminar Hall, Secretariat, in Porvorim, near the city on Wednesday.
Dean of Goa Medical College Dr Pradip Naik was the Chief Guest for the function. Director of Health Services Dr Sanjiv Dalvi, Deputy Director of NVBDCP Dr Anant Palekar, OSD to Minister for Health Dr Rajnanda Dessai, Director of National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) Dr Ashwini Kumar and Chief Medical Officer Dr Vandana Dhume were present on the occasion.
The program began with lighting the traditional lamp. Dr Dalvi welcomed the gathering.
