World faces a re-skilling crisis, women the most vulnerable

Davos, Jan 22 (UNI) The global economy faces a re-skilling crisis with 1.4 million jobs in the US alone vulnerable to disruption from technology and other factors by 2026, says a new report, released on Monday by the World Economic Forum.
The aim of the report, Towards a Reskilling Revolution: A Future of Jobs for All, is to assess the scale of the re-skilling task required to protect work forces from an expected wave of automation brought on by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The report is an analysis of nearly 1,000 job types across the US economy, encompassing 96 per cent of employment in the country.
