Women to vote only to those committed to introduction of prohibition: AIDWA

Kakinada, Dec 25 (UNI) All India democratic women association (AIDWA) Andhra Pradesh unit chairperson Prabhavati said that women would vote in the ensuing elections to those who give a categorical assurance on introducing prohibition .
Participating as the chief guest at the district committee meeting of the AIDWA at Sundaraiah Bhavan here on Tuesday, she said introduction and strict implementation of prohibition alone would eradicate the social maladies and ensures safety of womenfolk.
Recalling that AIDWA has already organised Jathas all over the state in support of the demand of protecting the women from the atrocities and prohibiting liquor sales, Prabhavati has demanded the government to stop sale of liquor on December 31 from 1700 hrs onwards as under the influence of liquor atrocities were committed against womenfolk and road accidents are taking place.
