Women should be empowered in family itself: Goa Governor

Panaji, Nov 9 (UNI) Goa Governor Mridula Sinha on Friday said that women should be empowered not only in society but also in family.
Speaking as a chief guest a the function after inaugurating BIT Sindri Association (BITSA) International world Connect conference 2018 held at International Centre, Dona Paula, near the city, she said family was very important for Indians.
''Family is not only of four or five members but for Indians, entire world is family,'' she said.
The Governor appreciated BITSA and said the graduate and post graduate engineers from BIT Sindri had made excellent contribution in the growth and success of Indian Institute of Technology, Ministry of Communication, Railways and private sectors in India. Large number of Engineers of BITSA went abroad for employment and made valuable contribution for academic institutions in USA, Canada and Middle East.
Chandrika Prasad, General Chair BITSA International World Connect 2018, Bal Trivedi, Director BITSA International and Dr D K Singh, Director BIT Sindri also spoke on the occasion.
BITSA International Convention Participants hand out was also released and BITSA International Awards were presented to the awardees by the Governor on the occasion.
