Women MLAs to conduct Haryana assy proceedings on Int'l Women's day

Chandigarh, Mar 6 (UNI) Haryana government has decided to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8 and the proceedings of the ongoing budget session of State Legislative Assembly will be conducted by women members on this day.
Besides this, Haryana Arts and Cultural Affairs Department is organizing a cultural programme 'Aprajita-2021' on March 8, 2021 in the evening at Tagore Theater in Chandigarh, an official spokesperson said here on Saturday.
He said during the first day of the budget session that commenced on March 5, Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gian Chand Gupta announced the names of women member MLAs, including Ms Seema Trikha, Ms Naina Singh Chautala, Ms Nirmal Rani Chaudhary, Ms Geeta Bhukkal and Ms Kiran Chaudhary to conduct the House proceedings on International Women's Day. On this day, more and more women members will get an opportunity to speak in the House.
