Women can rise higher if their family becomes wind beneath her wings: Raveena Tondon

Panaji, Nov 27 (UNI) Actress Raveena Tondon said on Saturday that women can rise higher if their family becomes the wind beneath her wings.

'I know women in our society can rise even higher if their family becomes the wind beneath her wings,” she said before premiering Netflix crime thriller ‘Aranyak' at International Film Festival of India (IFFI) being held here.

Raveena said through Dogra, a sincere cop as well as doting mother and wife, the character played by her in ‘Aranyak', she wanted to give the message to the viewers that women were seen in different fronts, be it women in uniform or women in corporate sector, trying to balance their work and family lives.

She added that thanks to OTT platforms and other creative media, female-centric films are being given prominence now.

“Be it Highway or Padmavat, women are leading in films now,” the noted actress said.

Aranyak, the new Netflix crime drama TV series starring renowned Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon, premiered at the festival.

Aranyak will begin streaming on Netflix from December 10, 2021.
