Women and youth participation in first phase of polls indicates rejection of Jungle Raj: Modi

Aurangabad, Nov 7 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that the record turnout in the first phase of Bihar assembly elections, particularly the massive participation of women and youth, is a clear indication that the people of Bihar have rejected the return of ‘Jungle Raj’ and voted for good governance and development.
Addressing an election rally in Aurangabad, the Prime Minister said, “The land of the Sun God is sacred, and I bow to its people. Aurangabad is a land of sacrifice and valor that has produced great freedom fighters like Anugrah Babu and hardworking personalities like Dashrath Manjhi.”
He said the first phase of polling recorded nearly 65 per cent voting, the highest in Bihar’s electoral history. “This enthusiasm of women and youth shows that the people have faith in development and stability, not in fear and misrule. The electorate has voted on the track record of Narendra and Nitish, and this is a clear sign that NDA is returning to power in Bihar,” Modi said.
