Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Aug 25 2016 4:02PM Woman suffering with ITP treated with Splenic Artery embolizationKochi, Aug 25 (UNI) A 28-year-old woman, who was suffering with Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), was successfully treated with a rare Splenic Artery Partial embolization in a private hospital at Thiruvanthapuram. The patient, who brought to the KIMS hospital for treatment of acute medical condition, was diagnosed of ITP, a condition where the platelet gets destroyed in the spleen due to problem with Immune Response, a KIMS statement said here today. The normal functioning of platelets is required to prevent spontaneous bleeding in the body.
