Hisar, Nov 11 (UNI) A 17-year-old woman Kabaddi player and a jeep driver were killed and eight other Kabaddi players suffered injuries in a collision between a jeep and a dumper near Khara Khedi village in Fatehabad district early Saturday morning.
The accident took place due to dense fog in the area.
Reports reaching here said a 15-member women kabaddi team from Sirsa was on its way to Panipat to participate in the state kabaddi championship and when their jeep reached near Jawahar Navodaya school at Khara Khedi, it collided with a dumper, killing jeep driver Vijay Singh on the spot.
Nine Kabaddi players who suffered injuries in the mishap, were rushed to a private hospital in Hisar where 17-year-old Kamaldeep of Mauri village succumbed to her injuries.
Police registered a case and started investigations.
