Woman clerk booked for demanding bribe

Thane, Dec 12 (UNI) A junior woman clerk working with Audit department of the Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner office was booked by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) here on Wednesday for allegedly demanding bribe from a colleague.
ACB Police Inspector (PI) Ashwini Kusurkar said in a statement,"The accused identified as Meenakshi Khobragade (37) demanded Rs 8,000 from the complainant, when he approached her for forwarding the bill of medical expenses to the concerned department from where it will be reimbursed as per the terms."
"A case under section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 has been registered against the accused at the local police station. No arrest has been made as of now," added the statement.
