Woman alongwith minor girl drowns in pond in Dumka

Dumka, Aug 6 (UNI) A woman alongwith a minor girl were drowned in a pond in Chirudih village under Gopikandar Police Station area of this district.
Police sources said that the deceased have been identified as Rani Hansda (28) and her niece Sonali Hansda (2). It is being suspected that the woman had an attack of Epilepsy due to which she fell in the water alongwith the minor girl and were drowned.
As soon as the news spread, the villagers rushed to the pond and took out the duo however by the time they were rescued both of them had passed away. Police later sent the two bodies for post-mortem.
