Woman accuses Cong MP of  rape

Sitapur (UP), Jan 18 (UNI) A woman in a complaint lodged with the city police station has accused Sitapur Lok Sabha Congress MP Rakesh Rathore of rape, a senior police officer said here on Saturday.
After investigating, the police collected evidence and sent the woman to court to record her statement, and also sent her for a medical test.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Chakresh Mishra said that the woman has been given adequate security. He said that a woman in her complaint to the city police station alleged that the MP exploited her on the pretext of marriage and to help her make a political career.
