Withdraw illogical 3-day lockdown, stop blaming people & media for own failures: AAP

Panaji, Jul 16 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday demanded withdrawal of the proposed three-day lockdown calling it “illogical” and “unscientific” and questioned Chief Minister Pramod Sawant regarding the basis of the sudden decision.
Terming it as possibly the world’s first “weekend lockdown”, AAP spokesperson Valmiki Naik reminded the Chief Minister that the virus had a cycle of at least 10-14 days, and locking down for three days would not make any impact on the spread of the virus.
On the contrary, Mr Naik pointed to the crowds at markets and stores and expressed concern that the panic buying due to people’s trust deficit with this Chief Minister could actually have the opposite effect.
