Chennai, Aug 07 (UNI) Tamil Nadu recorded the highest single-day spike in deaths due to coronavirus, with 119 patients succumbing to the disease on Friday, taking the toll to 4,690 while the cumulative tally of positive cases mounted to 2,85,024 with 5,880 fresh infections.
For the fifth day in row, the State witnessed 100-plus deaths since the outbreak of the contagion during March.
