Winter session of Jharkhand assembly: Opposition uproar washed out question hour

Ranchi, Dec 13 (UNI) The question hour on the second day of the winter session of the Jharkhand Assembly was completely washed due to the uproar by the principal opposition the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha which demanded for the withdrawal of amendments made in the land acquisition act.
As soon as the house assembled for the day JVM(P) MLA from Poriyahaat Pradeep Yadav moved in work adjournment motion stating that the state government was using force to acquire the land for Adani power plant in Godda district and demanded that a discussion be held on the issue.
On the other hand BJP’s Chattarpur MLA Radha Krsihna Kishore raised the issue of kiss competition being organised by JMM MLA Simon Marandi in Pakur and demanded that a discussion in this regard should be held in the house. He said that the entire episode was a disrespect towards the half of the population and the house should discuss as to how appropriate such kinds of events are for the society.
