Will not budge even an inch on National security : Amit Shah

New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said that the Narendra Modi Government will not budget even an inch on the issue of national security and that any attempt to breach Indian territories and ready to act against those attempt firmly.
Addressing an event organised by the All India Management Association here, he said that the Government will never compromise on India’s security .
"There will be no compromise on India's security. We will not tolerate even an inch of breach of our territory. We will deal with it strongly. We will not allow any drop of blood of our soldiers to go in vain," Mr Shah said.
Talking about the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, the Home Minister said that the situation in the state has been peaceful since revocation of special status from Jammu and Kashmir on August 5.
“We have realised the dream of a united India by liberating the country from Article 370 and 35A ,and after this decision, no untoward news has come from Kashmir till date.”Shah said.
Coming down heavily on previous governments, the Home Minister said that in 2013, there were an atmosphere of pessimism in the country.
'There used to be news of corruption every day. The borders were insecured, Women use to feel insecure and people were on roads for protests on many issues. A typical government was there in which every minister considered himself as Prime Minister and never considered the PM as PM.
“If we keep the 2013 scenario in-front of us, then only we will understand what we got during 2014 to 2019 and we never took a decision thinking whether people would like it but we took decision that was in the interest of the people”, The Home Minister said.
He said that five years ago, the average GDP was close to six per cent.
'Now it is above 7 per cent and we are moving towards our goal of becoming a five trillion dollars economy. Today, close to seven crore people file income tax returns,'Shah said.
