New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) An expert panel of the World Health Organisation to deliberate on awarding Emergency Use Listing (EUL) status to Bharat Biotech's Covaxin on October 26, Chief Scientist Dr Soumya Swaminathan said on Sunday.
The technical advisory group of the UN agency would meet and decide the long-pending matter of granting the EUL status to the Hyderabad based vaccine manufacturer's COVID-19 jab, she added.
"The technical advisory group will meet on Oct 26th to consider EUL for Covaxin. WHO has been working closely with Bharat Biotech to complete the dossier. Our goal is to have a broad portfolio of vaccines approved for emergency use & to expand access to populations everywhere," she informed via a post on Twitter.
