When SAD comes to power, it will reject PM's anti-farmer acts in Punjab: Sukhbir

Chandigarh Oct 22 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal said here on Thursday that when the SAD forms government in the state, it will totally reject and block the implementation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's anti-farmer Acts in Punjab.
''Amarinder has played a fraud with the farmers. He first thrust the Bill before us just minutes ahead giving no time for studying the Bills, just as he had done with the river water bill in 2004, which has brought no result for Punjab. Also, the bills of Wednesday totally contradicted the resolution which we had passed.
''The resolution had rejected Mr Modi's anti farmer Acts and also sought declaration of Punjab as principal market area. It also sought rejection of 2017 APMC. But the Bills which Amarinder introduced had none of these provisions. Thus, he defrauded the farmers and the House,'' said Mr Badal.
