Welspun India launches digital campaign to raise awareness around use of right Masks

Mumbai, Sep 15 (UNI) Welspun India has launched a multi-pronged digital campaign to reach out to the community to reinstate the importance of wearing an effective mask and the essential factors that one need to consider while choosing one.

The campaign AskYourMask highlights the importance of specific features that are most often ignored but are necessary to be considered while purchasing a mask.
With the ongoing pandemic, individuals have adjusted to this new normal defined by ensuring a safe social distance and wearing face masks when stepping out. Face masks have become an essential item that minimizes the risk of spreading the infection and prevents an individual from contracting any airborne diseases. While individuals realize the importance of wearing a mask, there is still a lack of awareness when it comes to assessing the features of a mask that make it useful. There are innumerous brands that are selling masks online and offline, but there are no guidelines for consumers to choose an efficient mask. Building on this insight, the brand has taken this initiative to guide consumers through the process of buying the right mask and has launched an initiative called AskYourMask to educate people on the critical features that need to be considered when purchasing a face mask.
This activity is followed by the MadeToProtect campaign to highlight the efficiencies of Welspun’s mask. With a series of digital advertisements, Welspun wishes to inform people about how specific masks lack the particular attributes that make it efficient, are manufactured in unhygienic conditions and touched by multiple hands during this process. Furthermore, it also highlights how certain masks are re-purposed, thus, making them hazardous when used. The campaign MadeToProtect focuses on highlighting Welspun’s face masks that come with all the features making it highly efficient, right from receiving valid certification and presence of all necessary elements & features.
Speaking about this, Ms Nemisha Ghia, CEO, Domestic Business, Welspun India Limited, said, "We at Welspun have always prioritized the needs of customers and worked towards serving them with advanced products. Masks have become an essential item of the new normal; through this campaign, we wish to inform the customers of the factors that need special attention at the time of the purchase of these items."
