Weather remains pleasant in Kashmir, Kargil still freezes at minus 16.1 degree C

Srinagar, Feb 7 (UNI) Due to sunshine, weather remained pleasant during the day today while the night temperature also witnessed further improvement in the Kashmir Valley though border town of Kargil recorded the coldest night of the season so far at minus 16.1 degree Celsius.
Meanwhile, despite claims by Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), some roads in the city remained waterlogged due to melting of snow, adversely affecting pedestrian and vehicular movement.
A Met Department spokesperson told UNI that light rain and snow would occur at isolated places during the next 24 hours in the state.
