We have done away with anti-people, anti-farmer policies: J&K LG

Jammu, Oct 2 (UNI) To ensure timely sale of paddy and remunerative prices to the farmers, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday e-launched 20 Paddy Procurement Centres (Mandis) in Jammu, Samba, and Kathua districts.
The Government of J&K has also started procuring wheat in addition to paddy.
Speaking at the launch, the Lt Governor said the amount of sale proceeds will be directly credited into the accounts of the farmers through DBT within 72 hours.

“The efforts to wish us off from the political space of Jammu and Kashmir have seen no let up since 1953. We have withstood dismissals, defections and coups in every decade be it in 53, 75, 84 or 90,” Junior Abdullah said while addressing workers convention in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
