WB Governor calls on Home Minister Amit Shah

New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Thursday called on the Union Home Minister Amit Shah here.
Though the outcome of the meeting was not shared with the media, it is believed that Mr Dhankar has discussed law and order situation in the state for which he has been very vocal and also the Coronavirus infection with high number of cases in the State.
The West Bengal Governor’s meeting with Mr Shah also gains significance as the State will be going for Assembly Election in early part of 2021.
The Governor had met the Home Minister in July this year and said that the “governance in the State was on a cliff’s edge”.
