Water for Rabi to be supplied for entire Godavari delta, eleru and Pampa ayacut

Kakinada, Nov 26(UNI) The district Irrigation advisory council at its meeting at the Collectorate here on Saturday has unanimously resolved to supply water for irrigation for the Rabi season to the entire ayacut under Godavari delta, Yeleru and Pampa Delta.

Minister for roads and buildings Dadisetti Raja who attended as the Chief Guest , said that the water inflow in river Godavari and Yeleru and Pampa reservoirs was adequate to cater to the irrigation requirement as such it was decided to supply water for Rabi for the entire ayacut. Dowlesweram, irrigation circle superintending engineer K Narasimhamurty has explained the members by power point presentation that water would be supplied for the 1,37,848 acres of Godavari delta ayacut in Kakinada district, besides 32,507 acres of ayacut under Pithapuram branch canal and 53,017 acres ayacut under Yeleru irrigation project.
