Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Mar 23 2016 7:22PM Water for Polavaram left canal ayacut by July 2017Kakinada, Mar 23(UNI): Polavaram left canal works are being expedited so as to complete the same early and release water to the ayacut by July 2017, according to Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswera rao. Talking to newspersons here today, the minister said the 181 km long left canal works were divided into eight packages to ensure speedy execution and early completion. `To ensure that the bridges construction across the national highway goes on without any interruption, the national highway authorities were being approached. Polavaram right canal works will be completed by June and simultaneously the left canal works execution is also being expedited so as to release water to the ayacut by July 2017’ he reasoned..
