WAQF welfare forum spreads awareness about the maintenance of Waqf properties in the country

New Delhi, Oct 23 (UNI) Waqf welfare forum organized a program at the India Islamic Culture Center, to make people aware about the maintenance and proper use of Waqf welfare property in India, on Saturday.
Chief guest, Justice Iqbal Ahmed Ansari, former Chief Justice of Patna High Court, while giving information about the forum, said that the forum is working with great success in UP, Orissa, Bihar, Maharashtra and Karnataka. The purpose of the forum is take care of Waqf properties.
He said that it is necessary to take care of the Waqf properties. He said that Waqf properties can greatly improve the economic condition of Muslims provided they are utilized properly. Welfare forum president Javed Ahmed said that at present the Waqf properties across the country are not in very good condition. People have misused these properties by taking illegal possession of them and misusing them.
