Vivo launches S1 smartphone in TN

Chennai, Aug 27 (UNI) Vivo, the global innovative smartphone

brand, on Tuesday launched the first offering from the all new

S series-the vivo S1 in Tamil Nadu, as part of its aggressive

growth strategy for the region.

The S-series was a true reflection of the latest style blended

with innovative technology for the ever connected, chic, young

consumers.

The first device from this series, S1 showcases state-of-the-art

design with unmatched camera capabilities.

The vibrant and trendy device is available in two attractive color

options, Skyline Blue and Diamond Black.

Talking to reporters at the launch, Nipun Marya, Director-Brand

Strategy, vivo India said Tamil Nadu contributes about 7.53 per

cent of the overall smartphones in India--selling approximately

6.35 lakh smartphones per month, while being the third most

contributing market by value with nearly eight per cent to overall

vivo India revenue.

'With the S1 launch, vivo aims to further strengthen its presence

in the state', he said, adding, vivo currently enjoys a 21.2 per cent

market share by value in the Indian smartphone market, making it

the second largest offline brand in the country.

Vivo S1 smartphone, manufactured at company's Greater Noida

facility, comes in 2 variants 4GB+128GB and 6GB+64GB priced

at Rs 17,990 and Rs 18,990 respectively.

The 6GB+128GB variant will be available from mid-September for

Rs 19,990. The device is available for purchase across offline

outlets in Tamil Nadu and on online channels including vivo India

E-store, Amazon.in, and Flipkart with many exciting offers.
