Visually-impaired Dr Jitender Aggarwal campaigns for 'Atmanirbhar Divyangs' on 'KBC-12 Karamveer Series'

Mumbai, Nov 28 (UNI) Visually-impaired Dr Jitender Aggarwal and his wife Dr Suman of Sarthak Educational Trust, which has trained and provided employment opportunities to 20,000 'divyangs' (specially-abled) from across the country through the NGO, have won a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh on the Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan-hosted popular quiz show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 12', the proceeds of which will go to their Trust.
This was a part of special 'Karamveer' episodes that brings forth change-makers and fighters who make a difference in real life.
The life of Dr Jitender Aggarwal, who was practising dentistry earlier, changed all of a sudden after he was diagnosed with 'macular degeneration of retina', a non-treatable concern, at the age of 30, which took away his vision. As he was exploring livelihood options for himself while groping in the dark, he realised the challenges of people with disabilities (PwDs) in India.
