Virtual Queue mandatory for Sabarimala Darshan: Kerala Police

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 9 (UNI) Kerala Police has urged all Sabarimala Ayyappa pilgrims to strictly follow the Virtual Queue (VQ) booking system and adhere to safety and conduct guidelines during the upcoming pilgrimage season.
The police emphasised that Virtual Queue booking is essential for darshan and that devotees must strictly follow the time allotment provided while booking. Spot bookings are very limited, making it impossible to accommodate all devotees who arrive without prior booking. Those reaching without VQ reservation may face severe inconvenience, long waiting hours and delays in darshan.
Officials said that lack of proper crowd control may disrupt security arrangements, and therefore, devotees must secure their Virtual Queue slot before commencing their journey. Pilgrims, especially those coming from other states, have been advised to plan their journey in such a way that they arrive only during the time allotted to them. The advisory includes comprehensive instructions for pilgrims. Devotees have been reminded to take rest for five minutes after every ten minutes of walking during the climb, and to use the traditional path through Marakoottam, Saramkuthy and Nadapanthal to reach Sannidhanam.
