Virbhadra Singh to quit electoral politics

Solan, Jan 28 (UNI) In a surprising move, senior Congress leader and former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Thursday announced that he would not contest any elections in future.
However, the six-time Chief Minister and sitting Congress legislator of Arki constituency of Solan district, Singh said, "I am a true solder of Congress, I will be a Congressman, I will remain with the Congress and I will die as Congressman".
The announcement was made while addressing the newly elected representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions of Arki assembly segment at Kunihar on Thursday. He had come to Kunihar to give his blessings to his supporters who won different posts in Gram Panchayats, Block Development Committee and the Zila Parishad.
