Virasat-e-Khalsa bags top state energy award from PEDA

Anandpur Sahib/Fatehgarh Sahib, Dec 20 (UNI) As though the spate of awards for the record of maximum footfall of visitors was not enough, Virasat-e-Khalsa, the museum at Sri Anandpur Sahib in Punjab – fast rising up the popularity charts - is also creating benchmarks beyond the world of museums. It has now bagged top state level energy award, showing a marked and industrious improvement from runner-up award it had bagged last year.
The award was conferred during the ‘State Energy Conservation Awards Ceremony’ organized at Chandigarh today by Punjab Energy Development Agency, the state sponsored agency which gives the awards annually for taking extra efforts for Efficient Utilization, Management and Conservation of Energy.
Virasat-e-Khalsa has been adjudged for the top prize under the category of Commercial Buildings, Sub category of Offices – Government & Private Buildings, which was conferred by HS Hanspal, Chairman, PEDA and received by Bhupinder Singh Channa, Manager cum Executive Engineer Virasat-e-Khalsa.
