Jammu, July 1 (UNI) The Chairman of Mata Sarthal Devi Trust and former MLC, Vikramditya Singh on Friday urged the Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha to upgrade Sarthal Devi Shrine Road on priority as the same is in abysmal condition giving a tough time to residents and the devotees commuting on the same especially during summer months.
The Chairman in a handout issued here said that hundreds of devotees visit the aforesaid shrine and the road leading to this place is in shambles, especially the stretch between Galigad to Sarthal Shrine.
He demanded that the government should enhance facilities for the devotees passing through this road as presently the situation is dismal with literally no facility being offered to pilgrims using this road to reach the famous Sarthal Devi Shrine.
