Vigilance helps needy during curfew, distributes ration to 100 poor families

Chandigarh, Mar 30 (UNI) Aiming to provide essential commodities to poor families during the curfew, Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) on Monday distributed 100 packs of ration to 100 poor families at Shahkot, Jalandhar district.

Disclosing this here on Monday, a spokesman for the VB said that the VB officials under the supervision of SSP VB Jalandhar Range Daljinder Singh Dhillon, has handed over 100 packs containing ration items sufficient to use in 10 days to 100 families living below poverty line. During the curfew, the VB team of Jalandhar Range distributed ration/groceries to those who were in dire need of food and remaining 50 families would be feeded after fresh assessment.
