Vidya Balan is my hero: Taapsee Pannu

Mumbai, Mar 6 (UNI) Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu has said that Vidya Balan has been a major inspiration in shaping her perspective on a career in Hindi cinema.
Taapsee recently revealed how Vidya Balan influenced her outlook on her career in Hindi cinema. Taapsee said she considers Vidya Balan her "hero," as her films gave her the confidence that women actors can thrive in the industry with strong, powerful roles.
Taapsee said, "Vidya is my hero because she completely changed the way I looked at my career. She made me believe that I too could do it. Believe me, if her films like 'The Dirty Picture' and 'Kahaani' had not been made, actors like me probably would not have had the courage to continue moving forward in the industry.
"These films changed my perspective on the shelf life of my career because they were released when I was just starting my career in Hindi films. The success of these films gave me the confidence that actresses too can carry forward content-driven films with strong stories on their own," she said. UNI NST SSP
