Vice Admiral Girish Luthra takes charge of Southern Naval Command

New Delhi, Jan 30 (UNI) Vice Admiral Girish Luthra today took over as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Naval Command from Vice Admiral Sunil Lamba.
Vice Admiral Luthra, a native of Palwal in Haryana, was the Vice Chief of Naval Staff prior to taking over as the Flag Officer.
To mark the occasion, an impressive ceremonial parade was held at the Naval base , followed by the traditional ‘Pulling Out’ ceremony in which the outgoing Commander-in-Chief, Vice Admiral Lamba was ceremonially pulled out in a jeep by Flag Officers and Commanding Officers of ships and naval establishments of Kochi.
