Vibrant Goa team returns from successful Israel road show

Panaji, Sep 7 (UNI) A seven-member Vibrant Goa team led by Joshua Desouza, Mapusa MLA, and Vice Chairman, Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC), has recently returned to Goa after concluding a very successful road show in Israel.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Vinay Verma, Trustee, Vibrant Goa Foundation, said the trip was an eye opener for business possibilities for all the delegates.
Mr Verma said joint meetings were held with the Federation of Israeli Chamber of Commerce, Israel Technology Transfer Organisation, Israel – India chamber of commerce, Manufacturer’s Association of Israel amongst other networking meetings creating a robust platform for future business prospects.
Mr Verma said, “The meeting convened with the Sheba Medical Centre was one of the highlights in the field of Medical sciences and Technology. The advancements in the fields of preventive medicine, concepts such as hospital at home, advanced Rehab, Tele Medicine among other innovative initiatives are truly path breaking.”
According to Verma, there was a lot of potential for medical institutions in Goa for collaborations.
Mr Verma said a 12-member Israeli trade delegation had confirmed their participation at the forthcoming Vibrant Goa-Global Expo and Summit 2019 to be held in Goa between October 17-19, 2019. Notable among the delegates is, Ms Anat Bernstein, Managing Partner A & G Consultants who are marketing consultants to over 200 Israeli Manufacturers.
According to Mr Verma, the key sectors that can benefit from the Goa-Israel trade associations are the sectors of Aquaculture- Fish Farming, Solar, Water Harvesting and Cognitive Thinking curriculum in the field of education. The Manufacturers Association of Israel is keen on having tie ups and joint ventures with Goa and India based companies in the fields of Agro, Water and defence.
The Vibrant Goa delegation had B2B meetings in the fields of Chemicals, Energy Storage, Power Generation, Automation and Electricals. Mr Verma said, “The opportunities are abundant and this visit is just a beginning of some big developments in the near future. The industrial eco system of Israel is pro-innovation and they are more than keen to join hands with Indian companies for Joint Ventures, Imports & Exports.”
The seven person Vibrant Goa delegation to Israel comprised Joshua Desouza, MLA, Vinay Verma, CEO, Powertrac Corporation, Anurag Walawalkar, managing partner, Fluid and Power Automation LLP, Manoj Patil, Managing Director, Armour Office Automation, Vijay Thomas, CEO, Tangentia Inc, Pravin Kakode, CEO, Upgrade Enterprises and Yatin Kanekar, CEO, Infipre and Scrrapy.
