Veteran batsman Manoj Tiwary returned to captaincy to lead Bengal against Delhi in Ranji Trophy

Kolkata, Jan 24 (UNI) Veteran batsman Manoj Tiwary, whose maiden triple century paved Bengal to win big against Hyderabad this week, was today named captain to lead a 15-side squad against strong Delhi in the Ranji Trophy match to be play from January 27 at Eden Gardens.
Thirty-five--year-old Manoj was made captain in absence of regular skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran, who is with India A touring New Zealand.
Since there is no regular vice captain in Bengal squad now, Manoj Tiwary is an automatic choice to lead the side, said an official of the Cricket Association of Bengal.
Manoj Tiwary's 303 not out and Shahbaz Ahmed maiden hat-trick in Ranji helped Bengal to win by an innings and 303 against Hyderabad and bagged 7 points at Kalynai this week.
