Veteran Achievers Award conferred on four ex-Servicemen for nation building efforts

New Delhi, April 18 (UNI) General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staff, felicitated four distinguished Veterans with the ‘Veteran Achievers Award’ for their exceptional post-retirement contributions to Nation Building, social welfare and youth empowerment during the Retiring Officers Seminar held in the national capital.
The Indian Army provided the details of the awardees through their X handle, Additional Directorate General of Public Information.
Colonel DP Dimri (Retd) has dedicated himself to youth empowerment, education and rural development in Uttarakhand.

SC terms 'atrocious' and stays Madras HC order restraining newly elected TN MLA from voting in floor test

New Delhi, May 13 (UNI) Terming it "atrocious", the Supreme Court on Wednesday stayed a Madras High Court order restraining newly elected Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) MLA R. Seenivasa Sethupathi from voting in any floor test or trust vote in the Tamil Nadu Assembly. Sethupathi had won the Tiruppattur Assembly constituency in Sivagangai district by a margin of one vote.
