VCK holds demonstration demanding to curb Onion price

Puducherry, Dec 9 (UNI) Volunteers of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) on Monday held a demonstration near the Kamaraj statue junction here to press their demands.

They were demanding among other things to reduce the Onion price.

The party functionaries participated in the agitation wearing garlands made of Onion.

Meanwhile, the 30 employees of the Puducherry Co-operative Consumer Federation (CONFED) on Monday ghearoed the Managing Director demanding the immediate disbursement of their 2 months salary pending and not to close down the 5 petrol bunks and 7 Bars run by CONFED.The administration had reportedly taken a decision to close down them and to hand them over to private parties as they are running in loss.
