VC rapes woman using job offer as bait

Jabalpur, MP, Jan 6 (UNI) A local court has ordered registration of a case against the Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University Vice Chancellor on charges of sexually assaulting a 40-year-old and violating the Information Technology Act.
Judicial Magistrate Nidhi Jain issued the injunction on Saturday against Prayag Dutt Juyal. In her complaint, the woman said that she had visited a veterinary college in connection with treatment of her dog. After the pet succumbed owing to “carelessness”, she went to Juyal’s room to bring the matter to his notice. The two thus became acquaintances.
On the pretext of offering employment, Juyal asked the woman to come to the University guesthouse one night and expressed his desire to have physical relations but she declined. Later, the Vice Chancellor repeated the job offer and perpetrated the rape in his office room. A similar crime was committed within a hotel in Rewa, the act captured on cellular phone and the accused threatened to make the photographs viral.
