Jaipur, Dec 9 (UNI) Against the backdrop of outcome of various exit poll surveys in respect of December 7 Rajasthan assembly polls--that gives clear majority to opposition Congress-, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Sunday exuded confidence about retaining power for second successive term.
Talking to the media here on Sunday noon, Ms Raje said, "I do respect the media and their drill for the exit poll survey, however, the assessment done by me and the BJP leaders and workers assures me of our certain win".
"We (BJP) are for sure forming the next government after declaration of results", she asserted.
Prior to this, the ruling party core committee reviewed the post poll situation at its meeting held at the party state headquarters here on Sunday afternoon.
The meeting that lasted for one and a half hour was presided over by state President Madan Lal Saini and attended by Ms. Raje, Union Ministers Arjun Lal Meghwal and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Rajya Sabha MP Om Prakash Mathura and others.
Since Saturday morning, Ms Raje has held rounds of parleys and informal discussions with the party colleagues earlier in Jhalawar and later in the state capital here for assessing the situation and drawing strategy for further course of action.
The party leadership is also keeping in mind a situation of fractured mandate and lack of clear majority and accordingly keeping in touch with prospective winners among Independents and contestants from smaller sprinter groups.
