Vaishno devi yatra suspension: Katra traders demand loan waiver

Jammu, Sep 7 (UNI) Claiming that the local economy has collapsed, the business community of Katra town today sought waiver of loans in view of almost “zero” business due to the suspension of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra for the 13th consecutive day in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The pilgrimage to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine continue to remain suspended due to persistent adverse weather conditions and incidents of landslides along the pilgrimage route.
As many as 34 people, mostly pilgrims, were killed and several were injured after a landslide was triggered on August 26 due to heavy rains near the Inderprastha Bhojnalaya at Adhkuwari.
