Vaccination against coronavirus is safe: Nitish Kumar

Patna, Mar 1 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the third phase of vaccination against coronavirus infection was kicked off today and inform that he along with his several cabinet colleagues were administered the first dose of vaccine during the day.
Mr Kumar told news persons in the state legislature premises hear that after getting the the dose of vaccine at Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences ( IGIMS), they all remained there for 30 minutes under the observation of doctors. He said after getting the vaccine he and his cabinet colleagues did not experience any health-related problem.
Exhorting the people to get vaccinated, Mr Kumar said that as per the guidelines of the centre people belonging to the age group of 60 and above have to be vaccinated on priority basis followed by the 45 years age group people suffering from some serious ailments.
Mr Kumar said that the second dose of the vaccine would be administered after 28 days of the first dose.
He said that free vaccination was also being done at some selected private hospitals.
