Uttar Pradesh begins cold-chain preparations for COVID-19 vaccine

Lucknow, Nov 28 (UNI) In compliance with the direction of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding the preparation of the cold chain for the proposed COVID-19 vaccine by mid December, the state government has launched the process on the war footing.

A total of 26 districts including Lucknow, Lakhimpur Kheri, Basti, Kanpur Dehat, Hathras, and Siddhart Nagar have already raised up to meet the target as they have created sufficient facilities to set up a cold chain for the vaccine. These districts have enough space for keeping Ice-lined refrigerators holding the capacity of 36,901 litres.
