Puducherry, Dec 1 (UNI ) Union Territory of Puducherry hs registered 53 Coronavirus cases and a fatality since the last 24 hours, ending at 10 AM on Tuesday, taking the tally of the infected to 37,020 and deaths to 611.
According to the Covid-19 status released by the health department here, of the 3,316 swab sample tests conducted on Monday, 53 persons tested positive for the virus About 23 new cases were reported in Puducherry region, 9 in Karaikal region, two in Yanam region and 19 in Mahe region.
As many as 72 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours. Of them, 39 were from Puducherry region,16 from Karaikal region, four from Yanam region and 13 from Mahe region.
