Use of paragliders banned in Udhampur as safety measure

Jammu, Aug 5 (UNI) Udhampur District administration today imposed restrictions on the use of Para Gliders, Parachutes, Air Balloons as a security measure following inputs from Air Force Head Quarters.
"The restrictions have been imposed on private air-borne activities like para jumping, para gliding, hoisting of air-balloons etc within a radius of 1 km from any defense or security installation in the district," District Magistrate Udhampur Niraj Kumar here said.
He said that in case any such activity is to be conducted, prior permission of the District Magistrate shall be required.
